Whether you’ve come to Slovenia on a ski holiday or you just happen to be visiting the country and decided to throw some skiing into the mix – either way, you’re in luck: a Skiing Day Trip from Ljubljana is always a good idea.
Besides its incredible diversity, Slovenia has the cool feature of everything being ridiculously nearby. And ski resorts are no exception. The Krvavec ski resort is a perfect example of teleportation from town to nature in a matter of minutes. Yes, minutes. It’s the closest (15 min drive) ski resort from an international airport and one of the closest (30 min drive) from a European capital city.
Krvavec is a terrific winter holiday pitstop. It has very good natural and artificial snow conditions, allowing the ski season to stretch into late April. Despite its closeness to Ljubljana, Krvavec is perched amidst a pristine Alpine environment with breath-taking views of the Slovenian landscape. On a sunny day, you’re able to see the country’s highest mountain, Mt. Triglav, and when thick fog descends on the valley, it gives you the illusion of skiing on an island in the clouds. If you’re on a family holiday, Krvavec is buzzing with family-friendly activities. The ski resort prides itself on excellent training grounds for kids and a variety of other activities for beginners, intermediates and pros, including jumps, snowbiking and night sledding.
Your trip will begin in Ljubljana, where we’ll pick you up and take you to Krvavec. Once at the ski resort, our guide will take care of everything (ski passes, helping with equipment, etc.), show you the best runs and give you some useful pointers.
If you’re still learning to ski, there’s a professional ski instructor available (guaranteed if booked 2 days in advance). For families with children we also offer a day-care option (from 3 years old) and a ski school for kids. The ski equipment rental package includes everything you need, but you can also opt for renting specific parts only. In other words, let us know and we’ll arrange it.
See you on the slopes!
