Description of Rafting Bled

Enjoy a safe, adrenaline-filled ride by tackling the amazing rapids of the stunning Sava River as it winds its way through the pristine Slovenian countryside. Whitewater rafting has never been this much fun!

The mighty Sava is among the biggest and most iconic Slovenian rivers. It receives its enviable water supply from two different sources, meaning that two rivers, Sava Bohinjka and Sava Dolinka, join forces to create a powerful waterway that runs through the entire country. And there’s no better way of exploring this amazing beast than by rafting down its rapids.

Rafting Bled doesn’t actually mean rafting on or into the lake Bled. It means rafting on the closest adrenaline pumped river to lake Bled. This whitewater adventure takes place on the Sava Dolinka and continues to the main Sava River. The 10 km ride will begin in beautiful Šobec near Bled and take you on a rafting ride of II-III levels of difficulty. Tackling the rapids and pools on a big raft (8 rafters) lasts about 1.5 hours. For the entire experience of Sava river rafting, which includes time spent changing and transport, allow up to 2.5 hours.

Before venturing on your trip, our guide will present you with the necessary equipment and waiver. Once in your wetsuit and familiarised with the safety instructions, your rafting descent will begin. The Sava river has an extensive array of pools, rapids and cascades that surprise you at every turn. Our guide will make sure your rafting adventure is packed with additional activities like body rafting and other super fun boat-related stunts. At the end of your trip, our driver will already be waiting for you on the shore to take you back. Photos and memories will be exchanged and a fantastic time will be had.

It is hard to believe how clear this river is, when I heard it runs through Ljubljana. Its upper stream is really cool and a nice summer refreshment.
