Description
If you ask a Slovenian, which are the top 5 things to do in Slovenia, you will certainly get a reply: “Try the wine!” And where better to do so than in the renowned wine-producing region of Goriška Brda, also known as Slovenian Tuscany. Out of its 5000 inhabitants, 150 own large vineyards and make their own sorts of wine.
Now, are vineyards located? On hills. What else are hills good for? An interesting, diverse up-and-down kind of trail bike riding. You’ll be cruising among picturesque vineyards and small villages that make up an idyllic region known for its hospitality. At the end of our journey, you’ll have an opportunity to try the vineyard’s produce by tasting some of the best wines of the region.
Terrain: asphalt and gravel
A diverse trail on a mixture of gravel and asphalt roads along the hills of Goriška Brda is easily accessible with e-bikes.
Things to know
It is important that your clothes are comfortable. It is recommended that you also have something warmer with you in case of a temperature drop or cold wind. You can always leave excess clothes in the van after consulting with our guide.
Even though Slovenia is small, it has quite a diverse climate, so it is not unusual for the weather to be better in another part of the country. In that case, we will suggest a different tour where the weather will be nice. If it doesn’t suit you or the weather is too bad for cycling, you will get a full refund.
We believe that your experience will be better if the group is smaller, so there will be max. 8 guests per guide.
The tour is adjustable to your skills and level of fitness. We use e-bikes, so hills will not be a problem. However, you should be comfortable with a few hours of activity.
All our tours are guided by professional local guides who will make sure you have a great time.
Children are also welcome as long as they can cycle independently. Please let us know in advance so we can prepare a smaller bike and adjust the tour if necessary.
Bring a bottle of water (you can always refill it) and sunscreen. We will provide bikes, helmets and a first aid kit.
