Description
Join our experienced climbing guide on a trip to the best climbing in Slovenia. Slovenia has a long and proud tradition of all climbing varieties. With over 100 climbing crags with almost 5000 routes quickly accessible from Ljubljana, you can find the optimal condition any time of the year.
Climbing is a sport for everyone. You don’t need to be super fit or have a ton of strength to get started on the right foot (or hand). Beginners will enjoy the thorough attention our climbing instructors pay to the oh-so-important basics while intermediate and advanced climbers will find only sky’s limiting Slovenian crags.
We’ll choose your climbing area carefully, based on the time of the year, weather, and of course your experiences, knowledge and wishes. This offers a unique, personalised experience for each climber. Lakes Bled and Bohinj area is a perfect summer destination, offering a variety of climbs and gorgeous scenery. This area claims a rich tradition, serving as a training ground for Slovenian alpinists that played an important role in the golden era of climbing, ascending some of the highest peaks in the world.
Climbing area Osp is suitable year-round due to the temperate Istrian climate and packed with challenging grades that will prove difficult for everyone – even the prodigious Adam Ondra, who climbed his first 9a right here after 11 attempts!
Join us for a world class climbing experience and get your hands ready to a climb.
Things to know
It is important that your clothes are comfortable. Take an extra layer just in case as you can always leave excess clothes in the van after consulting with our guide.
There is almost always a sunny crag somewhere in Slovenia, but if there is rain or bad weather, the tour will be postponed or you will get a full refund.
We believe that your experience will be better in smaller groups. Therefore, there will be a maximum of 6 guests per guide.
The tour is flexible and it can be adjusted to your preferences, skills and fitness. There can almost always be found a climbing area for everyone.
However, rock climbing is not recommended for pregnant women and people over 110kg – you have to fit in a harness. If you have health issues, consult with a guide.
On our tours you will have professional local guides. Our guides will make sure that you will have expert guiding combined with great fun and memorable experience.
Our minimum age for tours is 8 years old. If you are planning to go on a tour with children, please let us know in advance and we can adjust the tour if necessary.
Bring enough water, some snacks and an extra layer of clothes.
Our experiences are priced per person, as listed. However, some experiences have a minimum requirement of 2 participants. Solo travelers can still book these experiences but will need to cover the cost for two participants. If a group forms for the same experience, we can refund the difference in cost to the solo traveler.
